The thing with kids is, they grow. Rapidly. One minute they’re a size 2 and then you blink and they are suddenly a size 4! This generally means that items you buy one year, won’t fit the next. I normally try and buy a size or two larger, to extend the longevity, plus I kinda don’t mind the oversized baggy look (even for myself). However sometimes if they don’t outgrow them, they outwear them. That is why I try and purchase a mixture of ‘quality’ vs ‘quantity’ clothing pieces. You generally get what you pay for, and when I’m only paying $10 for t-shirt, then I don’t mind if it only lasts us one season.
I recently did a little haul at Kmart to update Kruizey’s wardrobe, in preparation for the warmer weather that is fast approaching us here in Brissy. I managed to walk away with all of this for $105 (close enough to ‘under $100’ lol). I plan on adding to / mixing and matching these pieces with some of my fave Aussie labels (most of which I find on Insta), so I tried to keep the colours fairly neutral and the patterns low key – this way it will be easier to work them with a variety of items.
‘WOVEN JOGGER SHORT – STONE (L) & EBONY (R) – $10 EACH
‘YARDAGE P/O SHORT BANANA’ – $10, ‘MICROFIBRE BOARDSHORTS ARUBA’ – $4.50, ‘VOLLEY SHORTS NILE BLUE’ – $10.
I Hope you enjoyed this Kmart Boys Fashion Showcase, if you would love to see more like this – please let me know! I would also love to be tagged in photos of your son’s wearing these pieces if you go and buy them 🙂
